What is a Safe Home?

A Safe Home is a place that provides a 24-hour safe location for victims of domestic violence to find comfort, peace, acceptance, and support while they are in danger and while they are rebuilding their lives. Some programs in Alaska have a shelter on site as part of their program. In Cordova we have places identified in the community and in our service area where victims leaving an abusive situation can immediately stay where they can receive the help they need.

If you are in immediate danger call 911.
